Replit Agent

The Replit Agent is an AI-powered tool designed to assist users in building software projects by understanding natural language prompts. This capability allows users to create applications from scratch, making software development more accessible to individuals of all skill levels. Currently available through a limited early access program for Replit Core and Teams subscribers, the Replit Agent is included in existing plans at no additional cost, with further pricing details to be announced in 2024.

Replit Agent is primarily effective for prototyping web-based applications from initial concepts. Users interact with the agent by providing detailed prompts, akin to describing a task to a teammate, and the agent generates a plan to build the application. Users can review, edit, or delete steps recommended by the agent and provide necessary inputs such as API keys or feedback. The agent's progress can be monitored, and users can test and deploy their applications through Replit's deployment features.

For mobile use, the Replit app must be version 2.90.2 or higher, and users can start building by navigating to the “Create” tab and selecting “Start with AI.” The agent is only accessible in new Repls created through the Replit Agent entry, not in existing or imported repositories.

Feedback is vital for improving the Replit Agent, and users are encouraged to share their thoughts and report issues via the feedback button in the agent plan UI or by posting on X @replit. During the early access phase, Core and Teams users have a fixed usage quota, which can be increased by reaching out through the provided channels.
