Product information

GreptimeDB is a versatile time series data infrastructure designed to handle IoT edge data storage and scale up to a fully-managed cloud data platform. It offers a unified approach to managing metrics, logs, and events, allowing real-time insights from edge to cloud at any scale. GreptimeDB supports SQL and PromQL for querying, continuous aggregation for streaming data, and is optimized for both IoT and observability workloads.

The platform is built to be cost-efficient, utilizing object storage to significantly reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and enabling cross-cloud deployment with a unified data access layer. GreptimeDB Enterprise includes multi-tenancy, enterprise-specific functionalities, and professional technical services, while GreptimeCloud offers a fully-managed Database as a Service (DBaaS) that scales with your business needs.

Written in Rust, GreptimeDB can be deployed on ARM architecture-compatible Android/Linux systems as well as in cloud environments, ensuring efficient data synchronization and network resilience. It supports scaling from a standalone binary at the edge to a highly available distributed cluster in the cloud. The platform is compatible with widely adopted database protocols and APIs, making it a seamless fit for various analytics ecosystems.

GreptimeDB provides built-in tools for data ingestion, observation, analysis, and visualization, and offers flexible deployment options, including serverless and dedicated plans. The edge-cloud integrated solution facilitates high-volume time series processing both at the edge and in the cloud, with features like highly compressed data files for low storage costs and push-down queries to the edge for efficient data processing.

Pricing

GreptimeCloud offers four pricing plans:

  • Hobby: Free, includes up to 5GB storage and 3-month data retention.
  • Serverless: Starts at $8/month, suitable for simple and prototype applications with adjustable read/write capacity.
  • Dedicated: Starts at $232/month, designed for production with critical workloads, offering isolated resources and customizable deployment.
  • BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud): Custom pricing, allowing deployment on your own infrastructure with unlimited resource usage.

Additional charges for serverless plan include $0.0010 per 1000 WCU per minute for write capacity, $0.0007 per 100 RCU per minute for read capacity, and $0.0414 per GiB per month for storage.
