DriveEditor
DriveEditor is a Chrome extension designed for quick and efficient video editing directly from Google Drive, eliminating the need for downloading and re-uploading files. Ideal for repurposing content swiftly, it offers various editing features such as trimming, cropping, rotating, adjusting brightness, and removing audio. The tool works best with MP4 files and ensures no watermarks on the edited videos.
To use DriveEditor, install the Chrome extension, log in to your Google Drive account, select the video you want to edit, and click the "Edit video" button under the video preview. The extension supports multiple video formats including MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, and WEBM, although MOV files may require conversion to MP4 for optimal performance. It also allows editing of videos stored in both personal and shared Google Drive folders.
DriveEditor enables users to copy and paste edits across multiple videos and remove video metadata for enhanced privacy. The tool supports video codecs such as AV1, H.264, H.265, VP8, and VP9. While there is no strict limit on video size or length, it is recommended to use videos under 50MB and shorter than 5 minutes for the best performance.
Users can edit their first three videos for free, with an option to edit unlimited videos for $29 per month. Pay As You Go plans are also available, providing flexibility based on individual needs.
